OVERVIEW

SPC was seeking to gain rich consumer insights to validate a new package design, logo, tag line and claims for their canned Baked Beans and Spaghetti.

Our collaboration with SPC involved testing current perceptions of SPC’s baked beans and spaghetti, purchasing drivers, what informs the customer’s decision hierarchy, and the impact of claims on purchase intent, as well as testing five new package designs proposed by SPC.

Through our hybrid testing approach THINK was able to validate the current packaging design as well as one other design. The research also determined that the ‘Australian Made’ and ‘Australian Owned’ lettering and visuals positioned SPC favourably over its competitors.
