“Our goal is to be known as creators of exceptional experiences, and the ‘Create Your Place – Annual Place Index’ helps us to know how close we are to our goal, and to know what we need to do to achieve our goal.

THINK’s workshop facilitation was really well delivered. Our Executive Group are thrilled to begin actioning the tenant- led insights explored in the workshop to not only Collins and Parramatta Square, but to future precincts.

Thank you all for lending your expertise to this project, the insights gained through this initiative are absolutely invaluable.

By knowing our customers more intimately, we can build an environment that delivers above expectations.

We are in a new paradigm, as customer preferences have changed substantially as a result of COVID. These insights will give us the tools to understand new preferences.”

OVERVIEW

THINK worked with Walker Corporation to establish the ‘Create Your Place – Annual Place Index’ to understand, score and track sentiment of their office tenants post COVID-19,  in two iconic precincts, Collins Square and Parramatta Square.

THINK started by identifying the key Walker precinct segments’, profiling their demographics, days in office, drivers and barriers of return to work and what amenities they would like to see, food and beverage options and utilisation of the app. The project also explored;

  • How tenants are experiencing Walker’s precincts
  • Utilisation of precinct touchpoints and services
  • Understanding the priority areas to action
  • The Annual Place Index score for each precinct, with a deep dive into each tenant
  • What we can learn from each precinct’s biggest promoters and detractors

After presenting these insights, THINK facilitated a workshop with Walker’s Executive Group to rank the key areas of priority, taking into account priority level and estimated time to finalise. An action plan was then developed that identified key steps to increase tenant satisfaction and experience.

The Annual Place Index is the starting point for Walker to inform future actions for Collins and Parramatta Square and future precincts with tenant sentiment to be tracked annually.
