Recently, we had the privilege of attending an event where Thirsty Camel unveiled “Australia’s official Beer O’Clock”.Realising that there was no national consensus regarding the “official” time for Beer O’Clock, Thirsty Camel have gathered the votes from nearly 10,000 respondents across the country to put this matter to rest.
Based on the votes, the official time for Beer O’Clock was established as 5pm (15% of votes). However, we couldn’t help but agree with their perfectly suited campaign ambassador – Mick Molloy (along with 9% of respondents), that perhaps in line with true Australian nature, there is nothing wrong with cracking open a beer or two at 12pm!
