OVERVIEW

Adelaide Airport were seeking insights on traveller expenditure across their airport business units. THINK Global Research’s analysis focused on propensity to spend, the mean amount spent and the number of transactions in duty free, retail, car parking, and food and beverage.

THINK were also able to split these insights across nationality, travel occasion and airline carrier across both domestic and international airlines, for more tailored insights.

To provide the most rigour, THINK employed a correlation analysis to see which factors and demographics had the strongest link to spending across the different airport business units.

This research allowed THINK to not only put a size and value to certain traveller types, but also provide more detailed recommendations on who each business unit should target based on a passenger strike rate, spending drivers and behaviours.
