Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Let's THINK Pink • THINK Global Research

Pink everywhere! You’ll see stickers, pins, different uniforms and cakes everywhere but it’s all for a very good reason.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month in Australia, which provides an opportunity for all of us to focus on breast cancer and the impact it has on our community. An awful disease that has either directly or indirectly touched almost all our lives.

At THINK, we recently worked with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals affected by breast cancer to develop a new online tool to make breast cancer less scary! Game-changer!

The My Journey Online Tool is an online, high-quality, evidence-based tool offering information and insights to health professionals and those diagnosed with breast cancer. This tool aims to make the breast cancer journey less overwhelming, providing support and up-to-date information that can be tailored to an individual diagnosis.

WHAT WE DID:

  • UX testing to enhance the My Journey Online Tool

WHAT WE UNCOVERED:

  • Segments of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients
  • Technical issues patients faced with the app
  • The stages when patients found they needed information most
  • Information members wanted to see across the platform

So, this month, and every other month of the year, let’s all ‘THINK Pink’, spread awareness and show support for all those brave fighters out there!

Here’s to strong women everywhere: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
